Newcastle is the third-largest city in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, the majority populates in Newcastle West whilst the balance of the population reside in the main townships of Madadeni and Osizweni.
Attractions near Newcastle include the Hilldrop House, the Chelmsford Nature Reserve, the Carnegie Art Gallery and a Hindu Temple.
Newcastle is key to Drumming in KwaZulu-Natal. To truly paint a picture about Drumming in Newcastle, we also explored the sidewalk cafés, museums, city parks, and off the beaten attractions to capture the sites, sounds, and colors of Newcastle.
Newcastle is about 300 km from both Johannesburg and Durban.

We checked into our Newcastle Air B&B and got an Avis rental to Volksrust Road. Volksrust Road was picture perfect with all its beautiful bakeries and little coffee shops. We indulged in some delicious home baked eats and tried some of their ever-so-popular biltong-which was like we never tasted before.
The Hindu Temple was a great backdrop for our video about Drumming Newcastle. The Temple's beautiful colors and historical value truly helped us capture the atmosphere of Newcastle.
